Our Brownout Shearling Baba takes the tonal treatment a step further. For the first time, we’ve overdyed the water buffalo outsole of a Shearling Baba, giving it a deep brown tone to match the rich suede upper and plush brown shearling inside. Brown on brown on brown. We use the highest quality, extra-thick natural shearling we can find, selected by us in Istanbul for its warmth, softness and beautiful texture. Each pair is cut, trimmed and crafted by hand at our workshop. Warm, substantial and incredibly comfortable - made to form to your feet and get better with wear. We make Shearling Babas just once a year, in very limited quantities. And this is our first Brownout. Find your pair while you can.

The Shearling Baba Story
Every year around this time, our workshops turn their attention to Shearling Babas. We make them just once a year, for a couple of months, and in as many pairs as our shoemakers can craft -- a production naturally limited by the handmade nature of what we do.
It starts with the shearling — the fluffiest, highest-quality natural shearling we can find, selected by us for its warmth, softness and beautiful texture. Paired with exceptional leathers and our signature water buffalo sole, each pair is cut, trimmed and crafted by hand in our workshop in Turkey.
The result is warm, substantial and incredibly comfortable - the kind of shoe you slip into and immediately feel at home. And like all well-made leather goods, they’re built to be worn, lived in and get better with time.
Shearling is a natural material, so every pair is a little different. Some fluffier, some wilder, all wonderfully cozy.
