We pair it with our signature leathers and a naturally tanned water buffalo insole, then cut, trim and craft each pair by hand. Warm, incredibly comfortable and made to last — they’ll form to your feet and only get better with wear. We make our Shearling Babas just once a year, in very limited quantities. The Shearling Baba Story
Every year around this time, our workshops turn their attention to Shearling Babas. We make them just once a year, for a couple of months, and in as many pairs as our shoemakers can craft -- a production naturally limited by the handmade nature of what we do.
It starts with the shearling — the fluffiest, highest-quality natural shearling we can find, selected by us for its warmth, softness and beautiful texture. Paired with exceptional leathers and our signature water buffalo sole, each pair is cut, trimmed and crafted by hand in our workshop in Turkey.
The result is warm, substantial and incredibly comfortable - the kind of shoe you slip into and immediately feel at home. And like all well-made leather goods, they’re built to be worn, lived in and get better with time.
Shearling is a natural material, so every pair is a little different. Some fluffier, some wilder, all wonderfully cozy.
