This is one for the books. Our first collaboration on our newest silhouette, the Babet, is with one of our favorite designers: Hannah Cawley of Cawley Studio. Each Babet is entirely handmade using ultra soft full grain, unlined suede & smooth leather uppers and adorned with a handmade silk rose at the toe - a nod to Regency era courts when simple slippers were decorated and enhanced with adornments. We’ve made these in super limited quantities. Enjoy!

The exposed leather section of the outsole may be a touch slippery at first, but it will garner natural traction with use. The heel has a replaceable rubber top-lift for added grip.

Meet Hannah Cawley.
Cawley is the South London eponymous label founded by Hannah Cawley. Their clothing reflects a deep commitment to craftsmanship, traditional textile processes, and thoughtful design - pieces made with care, meant to be worn often and kept for years.
Earlier this spring, we spent an afternoon at Hannah's studio, putting the finishing touches on a project we've been quietly working on together. The space is filled with natural light, textiles, vintage references, and the energy of a small team deeply engaged in their craft. Every corner seemed to tell a story.
Your Questions Answered
How do I determine my proper size?
Our Babet has the same sizing as our classic Sabahs. Our sizing uses European grading (i.e. 36, 37, 38) but they run one size small from classic European sizing. I.e. our Babet 38, fits like a Euro 37 / US 7. EXAMPLE: If you wear a US 7 (typically a Euro 37), please choose a Babet Women's 38. If you wear a European 38 (US 8), choose a Babet Women's 39. If in-between sizes? Size down.
What to expect, right out of the box?
1. The Babet is intentionally unlined for maximum flexibility & comfort. Because of this, we encourage you to wear your pair with care.
2. The exposed leather section of the outsole may be a touch slippery at first, but it will garner natural traction with use. The heel has a replaceable rubber top-lift for added grip.
3. Your Babets should initially fit a bit snug, toes towards the end with a touch of pressure. Being extremely soft & flexible, the upper leather will stretch slightly with use and form to your feet. You may see the outline of your toes over time. That’s why we call it glove leather!
Domestic shipping information.
For all orders placed that are currently in-stock, we are able to send your package to post within 1-2 business days.
Once your shipment is en route, our standard shipping option will typically have your order to you within an estimated 3-4 days.
We do, however, offer various shipping options at checkout should you prefer to have your package sooner. We offer UPS 2nd Day Air and UPS Next Day Air for expedited service.
As a note, UPS 2nd Day Air does not expedite shipping over the weekend.
Can I return my pair for refund, credit, or an exchange?

We happily accept all returns on NEW & UNWORN Sabahs & Babas. Please, visit our Returns page for more information & to initiate a request.
We also offer FREE returns for new & unworn orders placed in the US within 30 days of receipt.
Where is my order shipping from?
Sabahs & Babas are all handmade in either Gaziantep, Turkey or El Paso, TX and shipped to our main fulfillment center in Connecticut. Your order is, then, carefully packed up by our team & passed off to post.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we do! As a note -- depending on the country you are ordering from, you may want to visit our UK site - uk.sabah.am.
International shipments may be subject to customs fees and import duties of the country to which your order is shipped to. The courier will charge you any taxes or customs directly. For any detailed questions on this, we recommend you consult your local Customs office, which will happily assist you with further information.
