We’ve been very deliberate about the expansion of our footwear collection. And I’m proud to say — I think you’re going to be blown away by our new Sandals: the Lido and the Porto. Everything you’d expect from Sabah, and more: a truly artisanal production by a human-centric, family-owned workshop in Italy. They’re made from exquisite veg tan Tuscan leather that’s dip-dyed by hand to achieve rich, natural colors and then tumbled with pumice stones to be softened and given a unique, rugged aesthetic. They’re chic, and sophisticated but relaxed — “Sprezzatura” is what the Italians call it. You can wear these navigating rocky beaches, or cobblestoned streets — all day and into the night. They’re incredibly comfortable. The footbed is ergonomic and the slotted construction hugs your feet — supportive as you walk, and only to get better and more comfortable with every step. Add the rubber outsole for durability and traction, these Sandals will be with you for many Mediterranean trips, weekend getaways and summers to come.

Two weeks ago, we traveled with our friends, Kojo and Gabbie, out to the beaches of Long Island. We spent two days in our new Sandals -- from morning coffee at home and relaxing by the pool, to a day exploring our favorite swimming holes along the bay, and then a night out in town. 

As we intended, the Lido & Porto were the perfect companions across all situations, times of days, and outfits too. 

Gabbie and Kojo both agreed -- as comfortable as they are stylish, a natural fit from a beach to a bar, for a long hike, or a leisurely stroll through. They didn't want to take them off!.

Our Porto Sandals redefine ancient workwear. This storied silhouette has long been worn throughout history to accompany both work and play, alike -- a sandal that can keep up with your most electrifying adventures, near and far, while providing maximum comfort and unsurpassed support.

You're going to be blown away by how they feel. The ergonomic foot bed was designed with pure comfort in mind. By using a slotted construction and an anatomical shaping method, the feet slide securely into the insole, and are hugged for a stable feel throughout your journey.

We imagine our Porto Sandals being worn as you navigate the rocky beaches of the Mediterranean, be that a half hour hike to a quiet cove, or a scooter ride to a lively beach scene. From there, you can dress them up for a night on the town -- your feet comfortable dancing into the wee hours of the night!

Our Lido Sandals were designed with Sprezzatura in mind -- an Italian concept meaning "effortless grace." These are a chic slide-on that's perfect for beach, for quick trips around town and, for those warm summer nights, they dress up beautifully with a sophisticated summer look. 

Let's not fail to mention -- they're unbelievably comfortable the moment you slide them on in how your foot slides in and is hugged by the upper.

Made with unlined vegetable tanned Tuscan leather from one of Italy's finest tanneries for a lightweight feel that will quickly form to your feet with every step. The full-grain hide wicks away humidity to keep the feet cool, while the open back design allows for easy on and off.

Everything we do starts with the craftspeople behind it. In this case, we were so lucky to know Daniele, our workshop's passionate owner, and have the chance to work with him and his incredible team to bring the Porto & Lido to life.

We visited Tavullia earlier this year -- moved by the faces, hands & names by every pair of shoes they make and the resulting work: truly, artisanal shoes made with a blend of contemporary and ancient techniques.

Like the other footwear we produce, you can truly see & feel the handmade nature of every pair. While each is made exquisitely well, no two pairs are perfectly identical. 

In the case of our Lido & Porto Sandals, this is largely due to the unique dip-dyeing method of coloring the leather, which is followed by tumbling the colored pieces in pumice stones & water. The result is something truly one-of-a-kind. 

Finally, every component of our Lido & Porto Sandals is sourced from Italy -- the Tuscan leather uppers and insole, and the injected rubber outsole.
