Meet Myfawnwy, the NYC-based art and design studio of Maisie Broome. Myfawnwy explores nature, pattern, and emotion through a mix of sculpture, printmaking, textiles, clothing, and object design. Everything is made by hand in her Ridgewood, Queens studio.
For our latest Artist Series, we invited Maisie to bring her vibrant marbling practice to our El Paso Veg Tan Babas, creating three original designs for The Cosmic Collection by Myfawnwy. The collection includes three made-to-order, limited-edition Babas, alongside a silk bandana and patterned cotton socks.
We recently visited Maisie in her Queens studio to learn more about her work, her process, and the inspiration behind this special collection.

Meet Maisie of Myfawnwy.
NYC-based artist and designer Maisie Broome is the founder of Myfawnwy, a multidisciplinary art and design studio rooted in nature, pattern, emotion, and the magic of making things by hand.
Myfawnwy is Maisie’s middle name, translating to “my rare one” in Welsh — a fitting name for a practice where every piece is made by hand and no two things ever quite come out the same.
Her work moves between sculpture, printmaking, experimental textiles, clothing, and object design, bringing the fluid and psychedelic into everyday life through bold imagery and pattern.
We recently visited Maisie in her Queens studio to get a closer look at the world behind Myfawnwy and the process behind our latest Artist Series.
Among colorful paintings, expressive faces, and trays of floating pigment, we got to see how Maisie’s ideas move from the page into something you can wear, hold, and live with.
Maisie has spent the past 12 years exploring just how far she can take marbling. Pigment floats across a liquid surface, shifting and spreading as she guides it into patterns and imagery.
The process is fluid by nature, responding to movement, temperature, air, and the materials themselves. Maisie works with those variables rather than trying to completely control them.
The result is The Cosmic Collection by Myfawnwy: three made-to-order, limited-edition Babas, alongside a silk bandana and patterned cotton socks.
From Maisie’s studio in Queens to our craftsmen in El Paso, each piece carries a little of that same handmade, unpredictable energy.
