Return

I'm thrilled to present you with our newest silk bandana for Summer 2025: the Tokyo Dot, available in two vibrant colorways.

We love accessorizing at Sabah, giving a twist to a classic look with a pop of color or pattern. So, a couple years ago, we started designing bandanas & scarves with some of the finest makers in Como, Italy.

This specific bandana takes inspiration from our designer's recent trip to Tokyo (hence the name). Elaine was tickled by the intricate upholstery & patterns found on the seating in the subway trains of Tokyo. Her designs were built upon a single, simple motif to create a larger, almost optical, effect - a sense of simplicity balanced with a dynamic decorative aesthetic.

Find both colorways now on the Sabah Portal, and this weekend at our Sabah Houses. Enjoy!

A High Craft Global Sabah Good.

Inspired by Tokyo. Designed in NYC. Made in Italy. Our bandanas are made in Como, Italy of 100% high quality silk. Soft, beautifully printed and with hand-rolled edges, you'll love the feel and really appreciate the vibrancy.

Como's rich history in weaving and printing has established it as an unrivaled hub for the creation of exquisite textiles. This legacy continues to thrive through generations, where skilled artisans and cutting-edge technology converge. We're grateful to be working there!

The Inspiration.

Our designer, Elaine, was inspired by the patterns found on upholstered seats on trains in Tokyo. She visited Japan earlier this year.

Referencing photos she took and her memory - she translated that inspiration into several hand-drawn designs.

"I was drawn to how the pattern was built upon a single, simple motif to create a larger almost optical effect. I imagined that there were many other combinations and shapes to emerge from just that one form... and especially enjoyed playing with color in this particular pattern, where each hue interacts with the others in really surprising and dynamic ways."

One Bandana, Many Ways.

Our silk Tokyo Dot Bandana is extremely versatile: use it as a neck or head scarf, to tie up your hair, adorn a bag, hold your sunnies, or even as a chic top at the beach.
Or just simply do as the ancient Romans did, and use it for protection from the sun!
