Martand Blue Shirt by KARDO
KARDO’s Martand Blue Shirt features a boxy fit, long sleeves and an open collar. The yarn dyed candy stripe pattern was designed in-house. Handwoven by a master weaver in Bengal from Matka, a raw mulberry silk waste. The spun nature of the Matka Silk threads means that they are slightly thicker than conventional silk, giving it a soft feel that is somewhere between cotton and cashmere. KARDO creates handmade contemporary clothing, hand-crafted with minute detailing— designed in and produced from their workshop in New Delhi, India. They celebrate their craftsmen, conveying that it is not about WHERE your clothing comes from, but rather WHO made it, and under what conditions. You will find a tag on each garment highlighting the hands involved in the making of each unique piece.
